Colour me purple

Nonchalant

The outfit today was inspired by my nonchalance. The trousers by themselves irk me but yet when I paired them with this top today it actually worked wonders.

I am one who gives all my pieces of clothing and pieces of accessories second chances as I do not give up easily if the first time I put it on does not leave me in ruptures...

Second and third chances and patience can bring out the best in people and sometime habits.

Many days were skipped

So I recently went back to the site where I was inspired to take the 30-for-30 challenge and saw that the rules had been modified to imply that Playing with Fashion should not be taken too seriously bogged down with too many rules and restrictions and limitations, it should be about discovering who you are and who you aspire to be even if that entity does not make sense to anybody else. Rules in fashion are meant to guide and lead but not dictate how one should dress.

So my attempt at 30-for-30 challenge has been riddled with transgressions and overriding or rules and fails...

I ultimately cannot stick to a strict no-shopping interdiction but I can certainly remix my closet, work with what I have and exploit it to the best of my ability to ultimately look good in my humble opinion.

Day 14

Neon coloured and feeling slightly like a traffic light I felt rather elated at Petit Suisse's improvements.

I was once again failed by Shrek's lack of photographic skills. I thought I looked pretty darn cute and luscious in the mirror and this is not vanity speaking, there are days when I wake up and think who the hell is staring back at me in the mirror because I am aghast by my reflection but today was one of those days when I thought I looked quite close to tousseled perfection but the photos do not do me justice at all.

The biggest frustration are two fold : not having time or motivation to get dressed up and then not having a capable photographer to capitalise my efforts. Today my frustration was the latter.

I am rather elated with this ensemble today as it was not fussed and I was quite happy with the outcome, rather exceeded my expectation. Sometime natural looking brings out the best in me.
