So I recently went back to the site where I was inspired to take the 30-for-30 challenge and saw that the rules had been modified to imply that Playing with Fashion should not be taken too seriously bogged down with too many rules and restrictions and limitations, it should be about discovering who you are and who you aspire to be even if that entity does not make sense to anybody else. Rules in fashion are meant to guide and lead but not dictate how one should dress.
So my attempt at 30-for-30 challenge has been riddled with transgressions and overriding or rules and fails...
I ultimately cannot stick to a strict no-shopping interdiction but I can certainly remix my closet, work with what I have and exploit it to the best of my ability to ultimately look good in my humble opinion.

I too loosened on the rules (with Kendi's blessing, of course). Well, ok, I realized it was happening right before my vacation where remixing was not an issue, but having an internet connection was. So, I kind of gave up on it and just posted outfits whenever I could because in all honesty, I own around 30 pieces of clothing anyway, so everyday is a 30 for 30 day. And you're right about the shopping ban - impossible, especially with all these crazy summer sales!
